You never know what lies behind a door until you open it and see for yourself. As go-getters willing to put ourselves out there, we have learned time and time again that every opportunity and experience holds a lesson to be learned. 

Growing up, Justin and I were both raised by single parents. His dad and my mom both had a strong work ethic and the mentality that you should always be doing something. Those lessons have translated into every area of our lives. We are very busy working with clients, managing our side businesses, and being active in our community. Our goal is to always be improving and progressing forward. 

These values, instilled in both of us, are part of what lead us to be involved with a non-profit. For several years, we have worked with the organization Mansion Memories, which hosts magical days for kids in crisis. In 2019 we were approached to play the characters of Woody and Jessie for one of their theme days. We were nervous about making time to practice and memorize the lines and it was out of our comfort zone, but when presented with an opportunity to help in our community, we always say yes!

 After hours of rehearsals practicing our singing skit as Jessie and Woody from Toy Story, it was finally the day to see if all our work paid off. Mansion Memories put so much effort into creating a one-of-a-kind experience for the kids to enjoy and the event turned out awesome!  We have no regrets whatsoever and have continued to participate each year since then and continue to do so. When we were asked to participate in the Toy Story skit, we were nervous about making time to practice and memorize the lines. 

We are also involved with Kiwanis and The Unforgettable Foundation assists at risk and grieving families with finances to help them afford a timely and dignified memorial for their child.

Justin and I both became a REALTORS® in 2011. Hearing about some of the bad experiences my friends and coworkers were having, I saw an opportunity to do better and help people. I worked in the industry for a few years before Justin officially joined me. He left behind his debt collection company, and we put all our efforts toward growing our business. Personal growth has been a huge part of our journey. The better we understand ourselves and our goals, the better we can work as a team. 

Real estate ended up being a pathway for us to get more involved. Though we didn't expect it, networking with fellow professionals led us to join several boards. At one point, Justin was asked by the chief of police to be a part of Kiwanis and eventually to organize and lead the Christmas parade and other events. We have created a reputation for ourselves as people who will step up and help. As husband and wife, we motivate one another to continue contributing as much as we can to our community.

 Real estate is our priority, but we also grow produce for our local community markets and run several other small businesses, including a multi-family rental property.

Ultimately, our involvement with the community is a reminder that showing up and being there for others will always pay off in the end. Just seeing the smiles on kids' faces make every moment worth it. We believe you get what you give in your community. The more involved we become, the more meaningful our lives are. 

We apply the same philosophy to real estate. We measure our success by the number of people we help. As long as we are doing the right thing and putting positive energy into the work we do, good will always come out of it. In our free time, we enjoy taking our dogs on hikes, traveling, cooking together, and (for Jessica) cuddling with the cats. 

As REALTORS®, we have a very hands-on approach when working with clients. We always make ourselves available to answer any questions or concerns they may have, and when something comes up, we are the first to work on resolving it. We are proactive and uphold our timelines to ensure that every transaction goes as smoothly as possible. 

It isn't uncommon for us to hear from past clients, "We felt like we were your only client." We put a lot of work into each transaction because we want to take the stress off of every client's shoulders and make the experience one to remember. With our diverse skillsets, we can cover every aspect of the transaction, ensuring even the smallest details are handled on your behalf.
